Are you looking for guidance to navigate the lingering effects of past experiences?
Traumatic events and wounds from significant relationships can create a complex web of emotions that are hard to untangle. Feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected is a natural response to these painful experiences.
That’s where I come in.
I bring a comprehensive understanding of how our nervous systems respond to stress and trauma. I strive to create an environment where your system can slow down, allowing you to gain new awareness and develop new perspectives. Together, we can work on integrating these distressing experiences so they no longer hold the power to disrupt your life.
As an art therapist of Mi’kmaq and English ancestry, I embrace the wisdom of the medicine wheel in my work with clients. I firmly believe that creative expression is a powerful way to regulate the nervous system and promote holistic well-being across physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. When we make art, we can experience our stories and our struggles in a new way, which can help us get unstuck and move towards balance.
I specialize in working with teenagers (16+) and adults who are struggling with painful experiences of invalidation. I’m especially passionate about working with survivors of childhood abuse and addressing the wounds of systemic oppression and intergenerational trauma. I work creatively with my clients from a somatic, trauma-informed, and justice-oriented approach.
